This Day in Marathon.
Day #929. It's MIDA Monday. Misriah Massacre If you go by the date in the game the Misriah Massacre occurred in 2345. But Bungie corrected this date in The Lost Network Packets. The Misriah Massacre now occurred in 2442 in line with the Ares Raid, the Third Martian War, the MIDA coup and the launch of the Marathon. As Martian rioters stormed the United Earth Government Misriah food distribution center UEG riot troopers came under heavy plasma fire (according to the UEG).  The UEG indiscriminately opened fire on the crowd and over five hundred starving Martians fleeing the scene were incinerated (according to MIDA).  Turns out that only three of the starving Martians (Martian rioters) were armed. Those three became known as the Misriah Three.  Their actions lead to the Third Martian War.
