The Duality EngineTM uses a proprietary, portal-based technology that allows a look and feel dramatically different from engines that use pre-processed BSP geometry. The cross-platform engine is designed for point-by-point creation of polygons, just like a commercial 3D modelling tool. Smooth, organic shapes and irregular, natural spaces are a breeze--and most importantly, they don't slow the engine to a crawl. All the latest features are supported in software: up to 24-bit color, lightmaps, translucency, clip-mapping, dynamic lighting (with backside culling), dynamic texturemaps and 3D sound. Additional high end effects are supported in the hardware versions, which use the RAVE and GLide APIs.

Licensing packages include a complete set of our in-house development tools:
-SANDBOX, our map editor and 3D modelling tool
-TOYBOX, our drag-and-drop resource editor and texturing tool
-GUIDEC, the engine's OOP runtime code and compiler

KEY FEATURES:
-Portal-based engine allows organic, natural architecture
-Translucency, clip-mapping, 24-bit color all in software
-Multiplayer, cross-platform carnage over TCP/IP and LAN
-RAVE and GLide hardware support
-Commercial quality editing tools
