NEW YORK (CNN) -- Self styled bad boy of American fashion Jon Chang unveiled
the limited edition Marathon's Story page t-shirt today at an exclusive gathering of the
trade press on Seventh Avenue, the heart of New York's fashion industry.

Chang, who preaches the mantra 'quality not quantity', did not abandon his trademark
lean, sleek black look.

"This black is a new black", said Chang. "It's not the black we know from before.
This is much more sophisticated black. There's new shades of black which, you know,
you don't find on the usual color cards, and it was very exciting to do."

The look won admirers.

"It's fashion with an intellectual look", said Chang. "The most important message,
I think, is that clothes can tell a story."

Don't expect to find Chang's latest creation on sale in department stores such as Saks
Fifth Avenue. The limited edition Marathon's Story page t-shirt goes on sale exclusively
at Neutral Ground, 122 West 26th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenue), New York
on July 21, Friday from 4pm. Get there early to avoid disappointment.
