Well, actually, never read any of the micheal moorcock stuff. Although I
heard about all 17(?) books second hand when I was 13 from my friend Josh
who read them all...

Here's a question:

Where do an android's dreams come from?
(Inquiring minds want to know...)

I vaguely remember something about a movie, my brother was there..
Unicorns running through the terrible city filled with magic. Was it all
just a dream?

Man this is a good thread.. Thanks for the feedback (someone's previous
post about the story being overdone.) Actually to answer him - Mƒ was
planned as an expansion for M2. We basically locked down the story after
assuming that people were familiar with the previous games.

A bunch of you guys are on the right track, but I think that you're still
not seeing the big picture. What's been going on since M1? What do we
all dream about (non-Freudian)? What in a general sense are all stories
about? What is life about? What does the Jjarro have to do with all
this? What is the connection between dreams and reality? What is the
connection between a story and reality? What is the connection between
our perception and reality?

Answer these questions and you shall know the truth.

dishwashers.. Please don't talk to much about dishwashers... Nor should
anyone ever challenge the god of thunder during a storm. Trust me.

Refridgerators are ok. Dishwashers aren't.

Ok. There is something that can crash maps that Forge doesn't look for ->
basically if you have too many points in a line --- more than 12 or so...

Forge will crash in visual mode if you look down a wall that has too many
points on it. So will Marathon 1,2, or ƒ. If you have a wall like this,
you can fix the problem by moving one of the points in to obstruct the
others. (the map might have a line that isn't straight BTW.) Or you can
add a column.

This problem occurs often times with stairs, or complex elevation geometry
where everthing was done on the grid with a high level of symmetry (all
the points are replicated from another end...)

If this doesn't make sense, I've also explained it on the Hastur pages:
www.doubleaught.com/hastur

Look in the Acme Station section or the Busted Section.

Hope this helps,
Greg k

Just another celebrity story:

My brother just got back from Prague where he lives. He was working for
an exposition for something or other... He said that they got Mantlebrot
to play a quick game of Marathon. Evidently, he didn't play it for very
long..

I guess it wasn't chaotic enough.
