It looks like that page has come through in the DA home page. All > those "hyroglyphics(?sp)" and stuff look loike the ones from CK on > Infinity. I went poking around the Double Aught site (looking at all the source HTML for the various frames, that sort of thing) since I was interested in how they were getting it to look so crazy. I found something quite interesting. Check out this URL: <http://www.doubleaught.com/Infinity/> It is all about Marathon Infinity. Pay attention to the frame on the far left (the one that's scrolling). Then, take a look at this URL: <http://www.doubleaught.com/Infinity/01.html> This is the URL for that far left frame. If you then look at the source code for this particular frame, you will find some interesting stuff. Most interesting was this bit of text that was stuck in among all the HTML. I didn't bother to get rid of the weird line breaks. It looks like the transcript of an IRC session to me. Anyway, there is some information about Duality and the inspiration for the web page in there: <table border=0 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 width=11> <tr> <td>:WindWalr> was talki ng about greg 8P :lilbuddha> w hats doing ww? :WindWalkr> not muc h. waiting for people to come and talk and tell me what to do next :weirdbo i> hey :weirdboi> yeah ww: c had arrived last night... i appologise for being incognito a bit :weirdboi> it's been so bloody hot here.. :WindWalkr> hehe :weirdbo i> ::sweating:: :WindWalkr> what's up over ther e? chris got those movies working? :weirdboi> chad i s cool. :weird boi> seen braincase :Trid> I last saw braincase on IRC at 6:41pm yesterday. :weirdboi> chris is on a da te.. :-) woohoo :WindWalkr> hehe fingers that he'll get some :weirdboi> he could use it lilbuddha is fixing the web pages... :weirdboi> brb :WindWalkr> lil: what o n earth is wrong with them? they look kinda mangled :lilbuddha> well, my ins piration was a site called jodi. org that uses errors in html t o create interesting effects.. :lilbuddha> I'm into th at kind of thing... adjust them according to ever yone's observations. :WindWalkr> hehe :lilbuddha> :) :lilbuddh a> ww: how big is the du_shell window in pi xels when in full screen? :lilbuddha> sorry... rend er window that is :WindWalkr> full screen. . uhh. :WindWalkr> depends what res your screen is at :lilbuddha> at 640 x480... :lilbuddha> After the web pages are all set.. :lilbu ddha> i wan t to get closer to finalizing the interface. :lilbuddha> you still there ww? :lilbuddha> have I stumped you? :WindWa lkr> there is 64 pixels of text interface at the top, and 96 pixels of weapon interface at the bottom :lilb uddha> ok :lilbuddha> thanks. :WindWalkr> the rest of the screen is render window /+o WindWa' lkr Mode +o WindWalkr by lilbuddha WindWalkr has signed off (brb) WindWalkr has joined.
