I was surprised that no one mentioned this-- the alleged 'addition'
of real-time audio in M2? Would this be the microphone option that we had
waay back in M1, yet doesn't work in M2? (I'm not the only one who hasn't
gotten the mic to work, right? (hoping!!)) I was really hoping the mic
would work better in M2 than it did in M1, but instead we get nothing at
all.
I hope Bungie comes out with an update for this.

[and again]

this seems to imply that he got the real-time audio to work. last I checked nobody else had succeeded at this.

if this isn't so, I should wonder if he really played the game at all... imagine calling the skull gruesome. ;)

of course it usually works just as well to scream out loud at your opponents, wther they're in the same building or not; much more satisfieing. plus relying on the realtime mic would be a little annoying for post- and pre-game chats.

Geez. This guy really is clueless.

"One of the best new network features is the addition of real-time audio"

"new"?

"I was impressed to find that you must select Cooperative mode in order to
play the entire plot."

Could have fooled me.

I liked this comment:

"I found myself relying solely on reflex and the tools at hand...top get
me through some tight spots--especially when green sewer-dwelling monsters
started to close in."

Guess he hasn't made it to the last battle on Feel the Noise yet, has he?
Ah well, he did give it an 8.5.

...point being that that very same magazine made M1 "game of the year" or
something like that but then they turned around and gave M2 four stars out
of five because M2 is "violent" and promotes "every man for himself" on
some levels (whatever the hell this is supposed to mean).

This is an inconsistency.

Actually, if you read the review, you learn that the idiot who wrote it
didn't actually play the game but based his review on the literature
accompanying it. For example, nobody has been able to make the microphone
work because there is a flaw in the program yet the reviewer says
something like "you can even use a microphone!" -- this is not good.
