This is the message you get at the start. It is a recorded message from Blake.
Your mission on this level was given to you at the end of the previous level by High Admiral Tfear.
The humans are escaping through the cone of this volcano, they have activated containment fields to
to suppress the lava flow to aid their escape. The containment fields are powered by multiple,
redundant sources throughout the cone. You must deactivated them all.
When you descend into the cone you will see multiple deactivated switches. So activating them
deactivates them? Once you activate one you will hear a platform sound and then it will deactivate.
Even though Blakes message says that Pfhor dropships have entered the cone there are no
Pfhor on this level. Only Bobs and VacBobs. But don't be fooled these guys are quick on the
draw.

We've been cut off from the surface, and Pfhor dropships
have entered the cone. Send all fusion units to the towers to harass Pfhor
units assaulting the field power generators. Hagakure Base is overrun, and
the last transmission was over twenty minutes ago. All transporter relays
have been destroyed, and the network is about to be compromised.
The magma tunnels are our only hope. Durandal indicated the huge alien
fortress to the west might be reachable through the volcano. Let's hope
he was right.
We'll hold the containment fields as long as we can.
Blake out.

This message is displayed once you have completed your mission. The
level is designed to loop back to this terminal during normal game play.
You now have a choice. Do as Tfear says or find a different path.

Your devotion to saving the humans is admirable. Of course, that devotion
to species will be among the first of your traits conditioned out on Gr'ndl
Prime. Automated units report capture of over three hundred surrendering
human troops, and twice that number fighting. Including casualties captured
in the base, that is over one thousand of your kind saved.

This is a repeat of Blake's recorded message. This one is located inside the cone of the volcano.

The location of this terminal message is odd as it is found after
you have deactivated all the power switches and made your way through the long twisting
overhead path. Yet Tfear message is giving you your objective on this level again
but with a slight twist. There is now a master generator in the basement which you
must deactivate. Lava bath time.
While Tfear says there are thirty power switches throughout the cone there are in fact
thirty one that need to be deactivated before you can reach this terminal.
Also note his last words... "I will transport you out from any terminal."

The humans are escaping through the chamber below the lava floe. I don't know if
there is an exit, and I honestly don't care. Once the area is secure, I've given
orders to release the lava and bury the survivors under a few thousand tons of molten
rock.
Think of it as a chance to save what little remnant of your species still
lives. There are thirty power switches throughout the cone. You
must deactivate them all to access the basement level, where the master
generator is located. I can't justify sacrificing any of my troops to
assist you, but if you seal the tunnel, the fleeing humans will almost certainly
surrender.

If you survive the flooding of the chamber, I will transport you out from any
terminal.
It you refuse Tfear's warm embrace not once but twice and make the long trek back
to this terminal this is the 2nd "success" message you will read.
This is the first time this logon graphic has been used outside of the dream levels. The
image was used in Marathon 2 for the ancient S'pht AI that Durandal called Thoth.
While you end up on the next level regardless of what terminal you take, by taking this terminal
your consciousness has been irrevocably altered by your decision. YOU chose this path.
