Well we know where we're going
But we don't know where we've been
And we know what we're knowing
But we can't say what we've seen

We're on a road to... La Cocina.

If the Ming Choy had a special place in the hearts (and stomachs) of the Bungie crew on
Ontario Street, then the La Cocina was the very soul of the Bungie crew on Halsted Street.
La Cocina, a small Mexican restaurant, served the food that Marathon was built on. It had
the disctinction of being the "only eatery in existence", well... within walking distance of the Bungie
offices anyway. It's importance is enshrined in the credits list of both the Marathon and
Marathon 2 manuals. La Cocina has become something of a mecca for Marathon fans, hundreds
come each year to celebrate such events as "Last Polygon Filled Night" and "Pam's Jello
Wrestling Night".

La Cocina is located at:

2028 S Halsted St
Chicago, IL 60608

Google Maps will drop you right off...

My God! It's gone... The La Cocina has been wiped out. Phhht! Just like that. Nuked down to
bedrock.

Yes folks, another Bungie icon has been erased from existence. Who could be to blame? City
planners? Mayor Quinby? The Pfhor? Matt Soell?

But what's this? The Bug Stop? How can it be here?

Well it moved to 2029 South Halsted Street some time ago. This is what it use to look like when
it was opposite Bungie's Halsted office.

So the Bug Stop, which was directly opposite the Bungie office, just happens to move directly
opposite La Cocina? And now Bungie and La Cocina are both gone? Coincidence or...

Some Bungie fans still believe that The Bug Stop is a front for a clandestine operation to save
the world from invading aliens (bugs). Of course, we know this to be just nonsense... right?

My head hurts

Right, back on the bus, we're off to see... the home of the Bungie Webmaster.

OMG !!!

Cheers
Hamish

Next stop... THE BUNGIE WEBMASTER

Addendum.

Just in case anyone is confused the Bug Stop is at 2029 and on this side of the street the building
numbers are odd numbers. On the other side of the street... well it's a case of Nuke and Pave.

Intersting how the Bug Stop guys have block off one of their entrances... just like in that movie.
Didn't do them much good either. The bugs still got in.
