I just bought Marathon from a local bookstore in Louisville, Kentucky. I
cant believe I got it there before my MacWarehouse order came in. I placed
the order on July 22, 1994. Amazing.

I haven't opened it yet, and report on gameplay, etc. later. BTW, the box
says it works with ARA, and the box is cool, but not 5 months cool. :-)

Just wait . . . the box is probably empty. It has a the manual and reg
card, and it says "Register this game and your Marathon disks will be sent
to you priority mail!"

He's not. I got mine at 8am this morning. It really kicks ass! I'll
post more after I get beyond level 3, which is completely different
from the demo. There are also obstacles in the release, barrels,
furniture, etc. I've encountered my first flying alien on level three
(Normal - not Total Carnage yet). Gotta go I can see the TUNCER Mirage
Effect off my port and I think the aliens are out to get me. TME - I
love it. :-)

I saw Fritz's message on a local forum and rushed to the same store and
bought a copy too! I've only had a few minutes to play it (darn in-laws
are here for the holidays) but they improved quite a few things over the
demo! More when I get time!
