I finally figured that one out, actually, but thanks for the help, Loren.
I wondered what the fusion pistol was doing when I hit the option key.

BTW, I have finally figured out the grenade hop and found rockets and some
of the nifty new stuff (the fire-shooting rifle is cool), but I have not
found a rocket launcher or a flame thrower on the first 10 levels. Have I
not gone far enough, or have I missed some secrets? I thought the elevator
ride through the lava bath would have bagged me something more than extra
ammo.

There are SPNKRs and TOZTs on some of the first nine levels, but they're
network only.

There is also a SPNKR and TOZT on "Eat It Vid Boi" veeerrrry close to your
starting position. How you get up there I have no idea.

Hi,
I've been trying to get them, too. I did it once with a cheaten spanker.
It works but gives you bad Karma ;-)
Anybody out there who knows a better way?

Rainer

I searched for quite a while with pfhorte trying to find a hidden
teleporter and have come to the conclusion that it's only a tease
designed to piss off people hacking the map.

Looking at Polygon Types in Forge has convinced me there's no teleport polygons
.
And no Intralevel teleport in the term text.

Hack the physics model instead.

Well, maybe Durandel didn't get the exact coordinates while teleporting
them in ;-)
