Clear the aliens along the rim of the lava pool in the starting room, find the pattern buffer and save, then open the eastern door. The area you will come to has many different paths, each with its small share of ammo (and monsters!). It is best you take out as many as you can, as when you return later you'll probably have minimal shields left... When you're done, return to the lava room and step on the western platform, which will drop and take you to a pentagonal room containing a couple of very angry Gencorp troopers. Follow the west corridor and turn the corner. Kill the enemies here, then get to the upper ledge. Just before the long drop to the south there is a 3x recharger. After using it, jump...

You will land in a very dark room with two stairways at either side. The stairway to he left leads to switch 1, which raises platform A. Flip it first, then go to the right stairway. The path behind the eastern door has little interest, but you'll need to use the platform at the end of the southern corridor to get onto platform A. Take the lift at the other side and walk through the rooms at the top to the end. There you'll see a window overlooking a walkway; if you search around and open a secret door to the south, you'll soon find yourself on the very same walkway. But watch out for the cyborgs hiding against the wall, they can do a lot of damage. Now continue towards the door at the end of the long corridor to the north. Behind are several Hunters, so it is advised you open the door, run straight ahead, and hide in the room at the other end of the room. This room holds the Plasma Rifle, as well as other ammo, making it much easier to get rid of the Hunters now. Once you're done, use the 3x recharger and the pattern buffer nearby.

Jump into the eastern lava pool and follow the lava stream until you drop into a large chamber inhabited by various humanoids, both friendly as unfriendly. Once they have been taken care of, open the local door and follow the large corridor behind until you reach a platform, which leads to a large cross-shaped area. A door is hidden in the southern part (look for a curiously misaligned section of wall), which conveniently leads back to the earlier part of this level. Travel through the corridor network to the room furthest on the right, where switch 2 is now revealed. Flip it, then continue back to the room where you started, the one with the lava pool in the center. Drop into the pentagonal area to the west. You'll notice that platform B will have lowered, revealing a sequence of corridors. Find your way to a bridge, cross it, and use the final comm terminal nearby to teleport to the next level, Lune Noire...
