You start out on a small communications satellite (not shown in the above map) in orbit around the planet. Note that it contains the only pattern buffer available for this entire level. Read the terminal for instructions and save before using the teleporter cubicle to transport to the Gencorp ship.
You'll arrive in the northmost room on the GenCorp ship. To return to the satellite, you'll need to be able to reach the window in the north wall so that you're in direct line-of-sight of the planet (and the satellite). Destroy circuit panel 1 to open door A; this will let you reach the window via the ledge at a later stage, then enter the teleporter. You'll be teleported to the centre of the map at the T-junction north of door F. A bunch of enemies, who were waiting for you to arrive, will attack. When they have been taken care of, head west until you come to a door. (To the left is the "main plaza", you can explore now or later if you wish, but it's probably a good idea to secure a route back to the satellite as quickly as possible before exploring too much.) Behind the door is a corridor leading north, the 6 rooms leading off it are filled with a mixture of ammo and enemies. Around the corner is a stairway which leads to the first comm terminal. (You can also jump from the the top of the stairway to the ledge across from it, allowing you to return to the satellite.) Read the terminal.
The second terminal is located in a room at the south end of the level, make sure you stop and read that too at some point. Returning to the location of the first terminal, open the hidden door to the east and flip switch 2. Quickly go down the stairway before door B closes again. The high placed door in the area to follow will open as soon as you are in front of it, so jump to it from the top of the stairway. Turn left and you will find yourself in a GenCorp "troop-recycling" facility. Enter the right-hand corridor first to read the third comm terminal, then enter the other corridor to find a recharger and a teleporter.
The teleporter will take you to the south-east corridor on the map. At the end of it is a room with a pillar in the centre. You'll find the fourth comm terminal in the north-west corner of this room; read it. Flip switch 3 and run to platform C before it rises. Flip switch 4 to open door D. Flip switch 5 to open door E in the central pillar. Jump to the teleporter located behind door E, this takes you to a small enclosed room in the south-west corner of the map. Here you'll find the fifth comm terminal (don't forget to read it!) and a teleporter which will take you to a previously inaccessible room that looks out on the "main plaza" area. Next to this you'll find the sixth terminal; read it whilst you're waiting for the door to open. You now need to head to circuit panel 6; destroy it to open door F (don't forget to read the nearby terminal if you haven't already done so). Head through door F (there's a 3x recharger beyond it), then make for switch 7. To reach switch 7, climb the small stairway in the center of the level that takes you to what loks like control rooms, jump across the corridor that leads to door F to the facing passageway (destroy the barrels blocking it first), and finally go down the hidden platform in the corner of the sunken room. Follow the tunnel to its end and take the lift to reach switch 7.
As soon as you've triggered switch 7, door G will
open, though very briefly. At this stage, the 3 alcoves on this ledge
will be open; door G is hidden in the middle one. Run through
the door while it is still open and read the final comm terminal
there. Then head back to the satellite. If you didn't miss any
terminals, you will be on your way to Death of Drummand...
