Update

REB is back.

He brings us a revision of the original "Breaking the Barrier" series. Why? He sumed up his motivation
"...with a single word: perfectionism".

Breaking the Barrier

-Part I,
-Part II,
-Part III.

Checkout the revised "Breaking the Barrier" - it's pretty cool stuff, blending the mythos of the Matrix with our beloved Marathon.

Update

Yossarian returns.

From the author of:

`Ghosts of Wheeling/Marathon Man,
`Error final de Lysander,
`What,
`Facing the Monster in Dreams,
and [of course],
` The MSF Joke Fan Fiction
- comes an amazing psychological narrative.

In the words of the author:

"... it's sort of a literary montage featuring some of the events and characters in the Marathon story that lead up to the fall of the Pfhor Empire, as well as the self-realization of the Marine; then again, it may just be a collection of 24 dreams...
-Yossarian

Update

Mysterious and Funny entries today folks...

I know Yossarian will kill me for doing this:

I present to you the archived version of his Marathon Story Forum Fan Fiction. In it's entirety, a collection of inside jokes woven into an compelling narrative. If it doesn't confuse you, it will entertain!

On an serious Marathon Fiction note, Yossarian discovered while conducting an sociological experiment with Google an Marathon-themed Web Journal. However, this isn't your every day, depressed Goth BLOG by any means. Here's what one of the authors had to say:

BarbX is inspired by Marathon and our three Rampant friends.
[snip]
Maybe I'm a different than the usual Bungie fan. I found Marathon about the time when Marathon Infinity was published and had no idea what it was, being a PC gamer. I read http://marathon.bungie.org/story/ and was captivated by the story. It took a great deal of figuring and puzzling to discover what was happening by the terminal entries alone.

BarbX is my effort to duplicate this experience for other people.
-- The Author

Mysterious to the end - interesting stuff. Perhaps BarbX exists as a bridge between our insular Marathon world and the unenlightened one outside. Defiantly check this site out folks, it's well worth the read:

Additional thanks to Forrest and Steve Levinston for their continued story advice regarding WMaiD.
