I lost my mind in SanFransisco is to ...

A shiny nickle to whoever can identify where that title comes from.
Anyhow:
I've come to realize that Scifiteki is like some sort of Fan Fiction workhouse. I hazard to guess how many simian-slaves he has employeed in his basement that allows him to produce so many stories.
Truly amazing stuff!

In Your Nature I
In Your Nature II
In Your Nature III
In Your Nature IV

D.M.A has also graced us with a new story entitled:

Santa Go Bye Bye

Not the most flattering placment of myself in a story D.M.A., but thanks. :)
Marry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

Where's my mind?

My friend Scifiteki has produced another interesting story. This one, entitled 'Dreams of Blood', is likley the most psychotic Marathon related story I've read. Also one of the top creative ones too. Well worth reading! It's even got special formating; the first story to get that treatment since WMaiD.

Dreams of Blood

I've also written a new short story. This one has been an outline scribbled on paper for about 4 months. It came to me late at night, similar to how WMaiD came to be. I'm thinking that's when I have the most time to think. It's also a relates very loosley (very, mind you) to WMaiD the scenario, since I utilized it in there as well. Enjoy.

Shadows of Prediction

On an offhand note:WMaiD is progressing, should enter final beta before Christmas. Thanks to Scifiteki's checking, the terminals are now spelling/error free!
And, since I'm pressed for time, I'll archive the news some other time.

About that news archiving thing...

A cool story from Zane Smith (Officer 19502)[apparently]. Titled 'Balance', it reads like a Marathon dream sequence. Just like I like em'. Well worth a read!

Balance

On an offhand note: WMaiD Beta tester reports are trickiling in. Response thus far has been great! I should also archive the news soon, but suddnly being in a relationship has divirted my attentions from Marathon (*gasp!*) and spelling/grammar in this post.
I'll try to get around to it when theres time.

Update: 10/13/02: I've fixed all page titles of stories. Since I'll use an existing stories HTML file to Copy + Paste HTML from, the odd time I'll miss replacing the title. Sorry to those who had "Story Title Here" as their titles, or even "Dual Marines" for one or two. An oversight on my part. heh. Whoopse.
That, and I've decided to archive the news by year. That means, once January 2003 rolls around, your going to see some archived news sections... just like at the Marathon Story Page.
What a shock.

I Promise I'll archive the news...soon

A great, origional story from Scifiteki.
This is one of those stories that, at the end, I sat back and went "Ohhh.... cool!".
Definitely worth reading. May I present:

Screms in the Night

On an offhand note: The WMaiD Scenario Webpage now has screenshotsonline.

School house Frock [!]

A new story from Mr. Bill.
Initially, it doen't really seem Marathon related, however you must read it with a critical eye to see its true meaning.
Interesting stuff.

The Discovery

On an offhand note: The WMaiD Scenario Webpage is now online. I'll try to have Screenshots of the Beta up soon.

Two updates in one month? This is crazy talk...

Another update: Yossarian pointed out a previously posted short story entitled A History of the Diggers. It's own literay distinctivness has been added to our own here at MaraFF.
On another note, Check out my posting [with pictures!] of my experiences at the SFX 2002 convention.

This update is as a result of two new submissions by Yossarian.
His first submission, 'VH1 Behind the Music...Marathon' I find very... bizarre. It's funny in a way only a Bungie fan would understand.
The second is a personal favorite. It has that dream-merged-with-reality feel to it I like. It was appropiratly titled 'Facing the Monsters in Dreams'.

VH1 Behind the Music...Marathon
and
Facing the Monsters in Dreams

Tomorrow I'm off to the convention. Too bad I don't think anyone there will actually reconize my marathon-logo adorn tee-shirt. Only a few people may have a foggy idea of what it is due to its intergration into the Halo 'logo'.
Such is the burden Bungie fans bear. No one really know we exist, unlike Blizzard junkies. It confounds me how anyone could get so excited and fanatical about a Starcraft LAN party.

Curious... it's an update

Special thanks to D.M.A this month for submitting two stories. The first titled Eroc tnev was posted at the Marathon Story Forum before. Now, it's posted here, in all of it's formated glory. The second is a brand new story titled Flatline.
Both are well worth a read.

Eroc tnev
and
Flatline

On a non fan fiction related note: I'll be attending the SFX 2002, a scifi, anime, comic convention in Toronto, Ontario [Canada] on Aug. 23rd. Since I've made a marathon t-shirt like the one I wear in my logon images, look for a link to the photos from the convention soon. I'll be promoting B.org and Marathon in general by wearing the shirt and plastering 'Frog Blast the Ventcore!' stickers everywhere.

Schools Over, and I'm kneedeep in Forge...

Its been a slow month here at MARFF. Only one story fromMatthew Simmons. He did remark that his story has a passing to one of D.M.A's. He's right in that respect, but I believe the story 'It's a Lonley World' goes a bit farther than D.M.A's. resemblance to D.M.A's story
Give it a read, and decide for your self.

It's a Lonely World

I'll be creating a couple more of my login pictures, as seem above. Having the same one, every update gets tiresome. Don't you agree?

New Submission... There everywhere!

Today, three (3) stories written by D-M.A..

A pfhor named Pfho'rogh'untic'ff'ilia

A Man Named Bob

and The Hill

All three have a funny slant to them, and some running gags any long time Marathon player would reconize. All three are a fun read.

Second New Submission!

Todays new Marathon fan Fic comes from Randall Currie.

I sort of took the original Marathon Intro from the manual and the game's first level "Arrival" (and a cafeteria scene from the flower rooms in "The Rose") and churned out Episode One of an unofficial screenplay of the game.

It looks interesting. You can find the Screenplay The Arrival here.

UESCTerm XXIV (May 2002 Marathon Fan Fic. Update) 05.05.2002

Welcome to the first update of the Marathon Fan Fiction Archive.

The first submission is by yours truly, entitled "Where Monsters are in Dreams". Its an (approximately) 11 page story following along the lines of Marathon Infinity, with touches of Marathon Rubicon here and there.

It features fully HTML'ed terminals, and spectacular story. If I had any map making experice about me that wasn't Myth related, I'd make it a small scenario out of it.
I wrote the outline at 2:00am one morning because I felt I had to get my ideas down then and there. That and I had just completed Marathon Rubicon via both timelines. Playing too much Marathon can effect ones thought patterns perhaps.
I've been working on the story's editing for the past 2 months, so:

May I present Where Monsters are In Dreams.
