The FileBall Cometh

Straight from the Cat himself:
Attention Gamers: A new era in community online gaming has just arrived!

Introducing FILEBALL, a game players and mod makers comprehensive automated online game file archive and information resource. You might recognize us, we've been around before under a different name. This is not just another stinking Internet burial pit for your original game maps, plug-ins and add-ons. This is a fully interactive and customizable online database community where you can present your own hard work to the world or download the work of others. You can get valuable feedback via user ratings, full reviews or on the Fileball forums.

You have FULL PERSONAL CONTROL over your own gaming files. Submit them when you want, removing or replacing them as YOUR need arises. Membership in Fileball is absolutely FREE and only requires an easy registration process for full member benefits! Non-members may download any of the files as well as rate them for the community. We are mod makers ourselves, we built Fileball as a mod makers dream machine and we want to share it with you.

The Fileball community experience is unrivaled. Each game inhabits its own distinctive web site suited to the particular game it represents, yet each site shares the same database, membership roster and central organizational hub. Envision Fileball as ancient Greece with each of the game sites as one of the City-States. As such, each unique game site fosters a community feel in a larger environment without all the hemlock, wooden horses and sweaty guys in short skirts.

Online at this juncture of the time-space continuum at Fileball:
  • The Mill - all your favorite Myth Plug-ins, Maps, Recordings and Utilities
  • The Sims! - Skins, Furnishings, Full House Packs and Utilities
  • Lh'owon Ar'kives - all the Marathon maps, utilities, TCs and net maps.
  • Liandri Depot - Tons of Unreal Tournament mods and utilities.
Quake, War/Starcraft and Halo is in the works but YOU decide what game mods you want next at Fileball!

Immortalize your work, download your next favorite game add-on, or shout out to the world in the forums! Visit Fileball today at http://fileball.net/

bathroom reading for the new millenium

beep-beep-beeeeeeep
The BigHouse today gained a new victom. Marathon Flatline. Go forth and read the information provided on this site. I, for one, am certainly waiting for this scenario.

Useless Poll?
Could the poll on this page be useless? Who cares! Vote 'thon. You know you want to.

Marathon's Story
Yummy... Old usenet posts. Hamish must search everywhere daily for all sorts of common Bungie terms. Whatever he does... He found some old posts that are worth a read.

Don't kill people you don't know. They'll shoot you with guns.

the Battle Cat's Marathon Page
As much as Yellow Journalism is despised and maligned, it actually has it’s place in literature... mainly on a big fluffy cushion with a cup holder and a doily over at the Battle Cat’s Marathon Page. In particular I am talking about the sensational Courtney Evans and Loren Petrich scandal! For the longest time there has been a lingering confusion at alt.games.marathon as to the genders of these two unisex named people. The Battle Cat blows the lid off of the big cover up in this mind altering expose. Go to the Battle Cat's Marathon Related Humor page and click on the Courtney & Loren Exposé link down on the left... unless, that is, YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!

Story Page
Unfortunately the Volunteers series has come to an end. Having gone entirely through Marathon they now have nothing left to do. Suggestions for what's next can be made to the Story Fory. If you don't make a suggestion, they'll end up going to Quake. We can't have that, can we?

Well aren't we all glad nobody is dead.

I was starting to think I was the only one updating this site till those two came and updated on the same day:-)

Recruits

Well, if you thought that the scenario scene has dried up, think again. Two new scenarios are looking for talented people like YOU to help make the next blockbuster scenario. So do the right thing and lend a hand.

Scenario News

You take some, you lose some, and you dont get to be King of the Hill without taking a few rockets in the gut. Now your probably wondering what the Thoth I'm talking about. Well if you head over to SN you will see that while Marathon: Downfall is making plenty of headway and has two new sceneshots, Marathon: Vietnam has suffered an unsightly demise. The up shot of this is that the Marathon: Vietnam team has desided to release the work that has been done to the public via Blink Naught's website and soon the Orphanage. Too bad... it seemed like such a promising scenario.

I'm not dead, either.

Dang, that Doughnut beat me to it - I was all set to badmouth him for lack of updates. He missed a couple, though...

Archives

Another chapter in the Yota saga has been released - it's hard, but fun. Go check the New Stuff page (or search for Yota maps if you're too late).

Vidmaster

The Marathon 2 Vidmaster Challenge has been completed... again. Go check the What's New section of the Marathon Vidmasters' Page to see the details (and grab the films).

see... i'm not dead!

Orbital Arm
The Orbital Arm has recieved a new map. You must now go towards the OA and look at this new map. You must do this, because I told you to do it.

Story Page
More Volunteer's series. Some more excellent reading. First we have Eat The Path and then You're Wormfood, Dude. Now you will go read these two pages. Go!
