Submission

Any unused materials may be submitted to this site on the understanding that it is for free use with appropriate credit given. You may specify certain conditions to apply to your work, e.g., to be used in its entirety.

The work may be submitted as a whole, in separate pieces or both depending on how you wish it may be used. Please include a "Read Me" file describing the content and how you wish it to be distributed (whole, pieces or both). It is assumed that the work itself is incomplete to some degree. All material related to the project should be included, e.g., Photoshop files. It is preferable the work be submitted as zip or sit files.

Depositing material here does not mean you waive copyright.

At this time (Aug/2008) the Orphanage is not accepting direct uploads; please contact Cathunter to arrange for uploads.

Art

This covers concepts behind new shapes, textures or landscapes. It should be of reasonable quality.

Audio

Any sound formats are acceptable. Marathon uses the OS9 sound resources, Aleph One will use Vorbis Ogg files for musak and formats such as aiff & wave can be modified to either format.

Ideas

This covers concepts behind scenarios and new monsters and weapons. Ideas should be related to submitted or existing material and detailed in nature. Stand-alone descriptions of a possible plot may be acceptable.

Maps

This must be a collection of maps representing either a progression of levels or a set with a common theme, e.g., scenario or a net-pack. Though a subjective opinion they should be of comparable quality to released maps with minimal adaption.

Physics

Include a description of what changes have been made, the intended result and how well the modification functions. It is acceptable to submit physics files that have "glitches" provided a clear explanation is given for the intention and changes made.

Scenarios

Sets of maps accompanied with the idea, some terminal scripts and all related files. Covers everything from small sets of maps to total conversions.

Scripts

MML and Lua are preferred and should include a description of what the script will and won't do. Pfhortran scripts, though now redundant, are acceptable as long as they are accompanied by a description of the ideas & intent behind them suffciently detailed for someone to produce similar MML or Lua files.

Shapes

Modified Shapes files or the constituent parts for a modification, e.g., a set of weaponry or new monster. Preferably include any related files such as Photoshop images that were used in the creation of the new shapes.
