Shutting down the Orphanage

The Orphanage has been running for many years. Though the site has taken in much abandoned material for both Marathon & Aleph One (textures, sounds, plots etc.), the bulk dates back to Marathon & Forge. Though much of the material has been given new life in various projects it is obviously dated and has been superseded by the contents of websites such as Simplici7y. The time has come to close the Orphanage.

In the spirit by which the Orphanage was created, the web coding (36Mb) and map-making material (650Mb) are enclosed in tar-balls for anyone to download and use as they wish. Anyone may use the material; please remember to credit the authors if you do so.
